Today's makeup review: Etudehouse Personal colours palette warm tone eyes

I've always wanted to review this when I first purchased it. I walked into etudehouse with zero intention of buying anything. I just wanted to go in and see if they have new arrivals and kill time.
Then I walked out with this and as such, that's the story of my life. My literal reaction when I saw this 😱 It's so brilliant because I'm a fan of etudehouse eyeshadow and this came along. It was all in one - holiday to go palette with 20 useable colors!

I got the warm tone palette because the colours are basics and the bomb. Okay I always say that this is my go to palette but I always end up with 2-3 more palettes in my luggage because some days I get bored with basic colours and now my new favorite is orange/tangerine makeup which this palette don't have. I swatched the cool toned palette and wasn't as impressed with the payoff. Basically this palette was the palette I used for my makeup task! Lemme refresh your memories later!Â

I'm doing my swatches by columns. Here's column 1&2 which consists of base colours. I would use shimmer/glitter as my base too. This has a good mix of pinks and browns in them. And note, these are the swatches with no eyeshadow primer on. They are easy to pick up, blendable, and easily buildable. And I love the names given to the eyeshadows too. I find this palette versatile in giving you the appropriate looks you need for the appropriate occasions as well. I'll conclude later on.

Here's the colours from column 3&4: apologies for the cut off. Twinkle orange: the only shimmer coral/orange shade Dull espresso: matte dark brown Cream tea: whitish gold glitter Baked gold: yellow gold metallic Tanning gold: metallic gold with reddish undertone Warm wood: metallic reddish brown Cocoa: pinkish brown Night brown: mocha brown

Last column: Brown Berry: metallic brown with pink hue Brown candy: espresso - this is darker than night brown by a hue Morning coffee: I would call this latte Dark knight: Matte blacken brown Conclusion: This palette will be suitable for a daily go to work/school, natural, day to night makeup. It's a versatile palette that allows you to create looks for different occasion. But if you are doing a photo shoot/ outdoor/ or any photo shoot under strong lighting, this palette will not be suffice because the light will completely wash out these colours on you. So I will advice you going for American eyeshadow palettes like tarte, katvond, UD on those occasions.Besides that, this palette is good for daily school/work makeup, weekends and day makeup.

Here are the makeup looks that I have created out of this palette: First look is a Greek Bronze/Gold makeup theme Second look is a bridesmaid day makeup look Third: it's my daily makeup look. My iPhone camera doesn't pick up the details as clearly as a dslr, so next time I'll prolly do an eye makeup tutorial with this palette and show you how it turns out on a more professional camera! I'm also going to show you some of my favourite palettes: 1. Zoeva Caramel Melange

This is also the palette that I fell in love with at first sight. I think I bought it when it was autumnish season in America then everyone was doing orangey-brown shades, which is also terra-cotta. I think terra-cotta is an all season colour because it's still trending up to now. If you follow urban decay's latest launch on michel basquiat series of funky colours and the mid terra-cotta lipstick. 2. Etude house Customised Eyeshadow Palette

And this is my first ever palette I customized from etude house. I wish I could buy every colour down because it all looks so attractive! But now with the colourpop addiction, I'm getting more exotic and pigmented colours! But one palette is never enough, and you will never get enough. You feel like if you don't own that colour, you are missing out. Or even if it's similar shade, but because you don't own the colour, you feel like you aren't totally nailing that colour that's trending. 3. Tartelette Eyeshadow palette 1

There's a first for everything, so here's my first all matte eyeshadow palette that I got when I was learning makeup with the academy. I reckon my naked urban decay 2 wasn't enough so I bought tartelette in a hurry and it was one of the best palette that's serving me very well. All basics can be found there and most looks were created from this palette. Of course, with that being said, I still enjoy mixing and matching my eyeshadow from each palette and that's the whole fun of it because I have a variety of colours to play with! I have always say that this is my go to palette but I always end up with 2-3 more palettes in my luggage because some days I get bored with basic colours and now my new favorite is orange/tangerine makeup which this palette doesn't have.Â
