Monolid Makeup | All About Rose

Hey there! Thanks for catching up with my updates!

I am back with a new look called All about Rose and this was purely inspired by Colourpop.

I hope you like my new hair colour which is an ombré copper. It's totally matching with my white lace top from Zara. It's a makeover I did for myself after my birthday celebration!

Back to the main point, I've been so in loved with their Colourpop Pressed eyeshadows and I came across their recent YouTube video that gave me inspirations to play with some of the pink shades in my collection.

For some of us with monolids like mine, how do we pull off these colours or make these colours work on me without looking bruised?

Different eyes, different skin undertone, different looks - monolid, double eyelid, hooded eyes, we definitely be able to use the same colours but using different techniques.

There's no one solution to all problems.

I don't have a video tutorial for this look but if I do get responses or request for this look, I'll probably do one!

And I'm not wearing a pair of false lashes. It's the mascara that made my lashes look voluminzed and thicker.

Here are the products used to create this look:

Face:

Hourglass immaculate foundation in shell

Makeupforever concealer

Toocoolforschool contour Palette

Innisfree no sebum loose powder

Cheeks:

Hourglass ambience Palette

Illamasqua Blush in katie

Brow:

Benefit ka brow gel #3

Etudehouse drawing brow duo #4

Brow mascara #3

Eyes:

Colourpop sss birthday cake, bouquet toss, fair play, going steady, stay golden

Urban decay eyeshadow primer

Makeupforever eyeliner pencil,

Maybelline volume curl waterproof mascara

Lips:

3CE velvet lipstick in fetching,

UD exhibition

Here's more details on how I do my eye makeup:

Further details on the eyes:

Apply Urban decay Eyeshadow primer, it's very important if you want to the pigment of the Eyeshadow to last throughout the day.

Dab CP SSS birthday cake onto my whole lid to set the base

Apply Fair Play on my mobile and blend, Namvo the MUA of CP used Poodle but I find the shades somewhat similar.

Deepen the crease with Going Steady, this is where it will create a deep set look.

Using your finger, apply Bouquet toss to the inner lid and tear duct to add some dimension to your eyes

For a more sultry look, apply stay golden to the outer corners and the lower lash line

Lastly, to help blend everything out, use dreamboat to soothe out any harsh edges.

Line with your eyes with Marc Jacob liquid eyeliner

Curl your lashes and apply 2-3 layers of mascara to add more volume and depth to the eyes.

And viola! Your eye makeup is complete!

Here's a little of colour referencing from my collection of Colourpop Pressed Eyeshadows.

I love the colors pigmentation and blend ability. Minimal fallouts, or rather none for me.

And these are affordable for the quality in getting!

It is my first time going all out in pink and purples. I usually need a shade of brown in my eye makeup but I decided to do away with browns this time to match the Rose theme.

I hope you like the look and stay tune to this space while I bring you more exciting contents!

Ciao👋🏻
